You can unlock the Hot Rod Tractor in FarmVille with a few hours’ work, without cheats or paying FarmVille cash. Here’s how I did it.
How much time could you save by working your FarmVille farm 9 plots at a time? Exactly. But the last thing most of us need is yet another game to learn and keep track of. Wow, was I surprised that it took less than one day to reach Level 10 and unlock the Hot Rod Tractor! And I only spent about 2-3 hours actual playing time on Mafia Wars. [Note: You must be at least Level 12 in FarmVille to unlock the Hot Rod Tractor.
Steps to Reach Level 10 in Mafia Wars and Unlock FarmVille Hot Rod Tractor
[Disclaimer: I am not a Mafia Wars expert. I'm simply sharing what I did to reach Level 10 in less than a day.]
1. Start playing Mafia Wars. In FarmVille, go the the Market and click Vehicles. Under the Hot Rod Tractor with the big M next to it, click Get This. On the pop-up message, click PLAY. [If you get a "Page not found" error, you need to unblock Mafia Wars in your applications settings.]
2. Create your screen name. Choose a good one, just for fun, since you’ll have to pay to change it later. A street name or something like a Sopranos character, maybe.
3. Do jobs. The goal is to earn lots of Experience Points so you can level up quickly. To do this, click Jobs under the Mafia Wars logo and start doing jobs. Pretty soon you’ll run out of energy (shown along the top, under the Mafia Wars logo), and you’ll have to wait for your energy to refill. To do jobs, you’ll also need cash. You can earn cash from jobs, but you’ll earn more if you have lots of neighbors (members of your Mafia) because you get money from their activities, too. Keep doing jobs until you reach the level you want. I suggest doing the jobs that don’t require you to buy expensive items first.
4. Add to your Mafia (add neighbors). Go to the following Facebook Fan Page to find FarmVille players who also play Mafia Wars:

I recommend this source of neighbors instead of Mafia Wars groups because these neighbors all play FarmVille, so you’ll get the added bonus of all their FarmVille goodies posted to your Facebook feed.
5. Increase your Energy capacity. Near the upper-right of your Home page in Mafia Wars, it says Profile. Anytime Profile has a +1 or + any number after it, click Profile and then add all your available points to your Energy. Energy is the main thing you need to do jobs so you’ll earn experience points and level-up. Your energy level is displayed below the Mafia Wars logo (look for the little lightening bolt).
6. Visit your Mafia Wars Home page often. If you’re ever lost, click Home under the Mafia Wars logo (don’t click Home in the Facebook menu). Your Mafia Wars Home page will usually point you to what job to do next. If in doubt, just keep doing jobs until you run out of energy and then wait a while until your energy restores itself.
How to Unlock All the FarmVille Hot Rods
* Unlock Hot Rod Tractor: Play Mafia Wars to Level 10
* Unlock Hot Rod Harvester: Play Mafia Wars to Level 18 and Travel to Bangkok
* Unlock Hot Rod Seeder: After you’re at least Level 15 in Mafia Wars, level up 5 more times (to at least Level 20)
Once you unlock each hot rod, you’ll still need to pay 45,000 FarmVille coins to buy it

* Energy Refill: This is the best value at only 10 points. Used at a good time, you can probably level, which in turn would give you 5 profile points to use.
* 4 skill (upgrade) points: For 14 reward points you can obtain 4 additional points to spend to increase the stats on your profile. This is still a better option than purchasing the loot from the crates. Skill points have a MUCH LARGER outcome on the results of combat than loot does (and if you wanted, you could use them for more energy / stamina ... loot does nothing to help you level faster).
* Name Change: I am going to mention this only because it is a viable way to spend your points. Sometimes if joining a clan / group you might have a need to change your name.
Remember Winning/Losing Fights ... Level makes NO difference, Equipment makes little difference but the correct use of points does.
It is quite easy to gain 80+ experience an hour from doing absolutely nothing. If you have a large mafia that likes to fight it can be done. Whenever someone in your Mafia fights and you assist them as their Capo, you earn XP instantly. This is also referred to as "Social Fight Rewards".
If you have notifications enabled for Mafia Wars, you might see the "Click here to claim your reward". Which in turn will reward you with reward points.

5 Advanced Farmville Tips

Break up your farm into quads of eight and plant your crops in intervals so you can use your farm equipment effectively. You only have so much fuel to use and buying more is a waste of your Farmville dollars. The best way to plant your crops is in intervals of 2-3 hours. This way, your fuel levels have a chance to build back up and you spend less time tending your farm by hand.

Know what trees to plant. By the time you’ve reached level twelve, you’ve got tons of trees. Keep track of what ribbons you have, but you will find that you don’t need all of those trees. The cherry tree is able to be harvested once ever two days and will help you get your “Knock on Wood” ribbons faster. Other than that, I only plant the top five trees and get rid of the rest. NOTE: Don’t start getting rid of trees until you’ve finished the “Tree Hugger” ribbons. Here is a list of the trees and what they produce.

To start -- set up your cafe in the formation as seen in the photo below. Place your stoves against the back wall; then set up your serving tables, leaving one space behind them and the back wall. That, essentially, will trap your server in that space and he/she will be able to deliver dishes and bus tables without leaving that spot.
The good part about this? If you have enough food and tables, you'll always be able to serve a customer right away. The bad part? We're sure it's only a matter of time until Zynga developers fix this server glitch, so take advantage while you can.

Energy is a very valuable commodity in Mafia Wars. Players are required to do jobs to gain experience points. Gaining these valuable experience points allows players to advance up the levels. Until a player reaches the top status in New York, they get one energy point every five minutes. After reaching the top New York level, the amount of energy doubles to two points every five minutes. They were only a weekend fan appreciation special item. Just go for tomatoes for quick money, they are the best crop profit per hour.

That would, of course, make the first day of the allegedly non-free FarmVille to be April Fool's Day. And a Zynga representative, in an e-mail to CNET, says the rumor is not true.
Farmville, with over 75 million monthly users, is already making a lot of money for Zynga. But, according to blogs like the AOL-owned Games.com, it's not yet sufficient for the company to consider going public. Currently, the game makes its money by charging users for virtual goods that help them get ahead, for which they can fork over cash or complete third-party offers and surveys.
The companies fueling those offers came under some serious scrutiny last year over the revelation that there were hidden fees attached to many of them. Some wondered, in the wake of the media frenzy, whether Zynga would have to look elsewhere for revenues--thus far, it hasn't made any indications that it will. IDG News Service Facebook Tips and Tweaks
I like using Facebook to keep tabs on my friends, but I don't like the endless stream of "so-and-so took this quiz" and "Joe became friends with Jane" messages. I just became a fan of Facebook Purity, an add-on that removes those notifications from your Facebook home page. Facebook Purity is a script that requires Greasemonkey. Once you've installed that and restarted Firefox, just install the FP script, start up Firefox again, and fire up Facebook.
The effects are subtle--don't expect a major makeover--but definitely worthwhile. You may not notice any immediate changes, but you should see a "FB Purity hid" header like the one highlighted in this screen shot. The tally refers to the number of Facebook apps and "extras" hidden from your home page. If you're curious to see what they are, just click Show for either category.
If you want to edit the list of apps and extras Facebook Purity blocks, see the developer's FAQ page. Download Photo Albums in a Flash
For a service as photo-oriented as Facebook, the simple act of downloading photos is annoyingly complicated. In fact, there is no download option; you have to view each photo in turn, right-click it, and choose Save Image As or Save Picture As (depending on your browser).
So what happens if a friend posts a bunch of pictures you want to download? Are you really supposed to go through and save them one by one? Not if you install the FacePAD plug-in for Firefox. Short for Facebook Photo Album Downloader, it does exactly what its name implies: downloads entire albums at a time.
After loading the plug-in and restarting Firefox, select Tools, Add-ons, find FacePAD, click Options, and choose your language. Click OK and you're good to go.
To use FacePAD, just navigate your way into a friend's photo library, right-click an album link, and choose Download Album with FacePAD. In a matter of minutes the plug-in will plunk every photo into your default Firefox Downloads folder.
It's too bad you can't specify a folder or do any batch-renaming; all the photos end up with cryptic numerical file names. Still, FacePAD works as advertised, and it's a damn sight easier than retrieving each photo manually.

Let's solve another Facebook hassle: When you leave the site, your chat sessions get left behind. Wouldn't it be nice if you could keep a Facebook chat going regardless of what site you're viewing?
If you use Firefox as your Web browser, you can add Facebook chat to the Sidebar, thus keeping it alive and active even while you browse elsewhere. (I also find it a more convenient location than the bottom-right corner of the screen, which is where Facebook shoehorns it.) Here's how to make it happen:
In Firefox, press Ctrl-B to open the Sidebar in Bookmarks view. Right-click the bookmark folder where you want to add Facebook chat, then choose New Bookmark. Name the new bookmark "Facebook Chat," then paste this URL into the Location field: http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php Check "Load this bookmark in the sidebar," then click OK.
Now just click your new bookmark and presto: Facebook chat in the sidebar. Not too shabby, eh?

Make Money in FarmVille
Making money is a fact of life, even when you are trying to escape the daily drudgery by playing a game for a few minutes on farmville. But as it happens in farmville it is much easier to make money than in real life.
As with a real farm most things cost money. Buying seeds, plowing the fields, almost everything costs coins. At first you will only be able to pay for the costs by harvesting and selling your crops. However these day to day costs are not the only costs, and if you want to advance through the levels you will have to gain experience points, and to gain experience points you will have to purchase large ticket items like buildings.
Now you need to figure out a way to make more money.
The first thing you will have to learn is to make the most of your land by choosing the crops that make the most money PER HOUR. Some crops make good money but they take too long to mature. This is fine if you don’t want to advance quickly or you like to take things slow, but most of us want to move a bit faster.
One good comparison is strawberries vs pumpkins. Pumpkins pay 68 coins per plot every 8 hours. Strawberries pay 35 every 4 hours, so in 8 hours strawberries will get you 7 more coins. This of course assumes you will be harvesting the strawberries as soon as they are ripe and replant right away.
If of course you cannot get back to your farm in 4 hours, you are better off planting the pumpkins. It is better to be safe than lose your crop. But you can see that if you time your visits to farmville perfectly you can be in and out in a few minutes and be making about 10% more than other people do who are on farmville much longer than you.

10 Easy Farmville Cheat Codes
Farmville cheat codes explained, as well as 10 of the easiest farmville cheat codes examples.
Farmville is a complicated and extensive game, and if you follow the rules completely it will take you months to get to the higher levels. There are many smart people out there who have figured out “cheats” or “codes” as they call them, and together they are known as Farmville Cheat Codes.
The farmville cheat codes vary in their methods and complexity. There are some action chains when done in the correct sequence seem to net you more coins and more experience points, and sometimes the values are very high comparatively. I say this because if you just plant and reap crops you may earn 7 coins an hour and 3 experience points per hour. Be aware that the folks at Zynga obviously know about many of the cheats, and I wonder if they didn’t just put them in there on purpose to somehow dangle a carrot to players. But the point is that at any time these cheats may be obsolete once Zynga closes it down. Please accept my apologies if a cheat I mention is no longer working.
Some of the cheats are rather harmless but helpful tips that someone has stumbled upon. For example there are quite a few cheats that you can do that will help speed things up in farmville. This does not bring any coins or experience points, but it saves you having to wait a while when you are doing repetitive tasks like ploughing or planting. One such farmville cheat code / farmville tip is to block the player avatar with fences or signs (normally put player in middle where he starts and then surround him with signs), and then ploughing or planting is done much faster. (Turn your sound off when you do this cheat).
Other cheat codes are very profitable and they don’t appear to be illegal. Probably the best such farmville cheat code is called the soybean delete cheat. It involves planting soybeans and then deleting the crop. For some reason you end up with a large profit of coins. This is a more advanced cheat and you need to have a 20×20 plot first as well as the Architect Ribbon first. It pays to have a mouse and click recording program so you can automate this process. The idea is that you use up all your money sewing and deleting the soybean crop and you will earn experience points. And since farmville experience points are the key to leveling up you end up advancing by using this cheat.
There are quite a few of these easy farmville cheats to be found on the internet, but it takes a while to find them (if they still work). Probably the easiest thing to do is to get one of the best farmville guides which are updated often, and the updates are free to all those that own the farmville guides.
10 Easy farmville cheats – Some of these could barely called cheats as they appear to be normal game play, but if you know them then they are a quick way to increase farmville coins and farmville experience points.

You will need to have quite a bit of coinage for this to be useful, and basically you will use up all your coins.

It is not really a cheat, as you can only send 1 gift to someone every 4 hours, it shortcuts the wait, and you can send more than 1 at a time, but they will not be able to accept more than 1 gift every 4 hours. Here are the steps.
* From inside facebook, open the farmville app. wait till it opens then click on the free gifts tab
* (it seems to work best if you use chrome browser) right click on the free gifts tab link and choose open in new tab, do this up to 30 times so that you have up to 30 tabs open
* for each tab select a gift, then on each tab select “proceed to send”
* go to each tab and select the friend you want to send the gift to (do not send yet)
* after selecting friend on each tab go back to first tab and click “send farmville gift request” (do not hit send yet) and repeat for all tabs
* go back to first tab and click send, then repeat for all tabs
* thats it. Note your friends may not be able to open the gifts until the next day.
6. Multiple chicken coops – this one will probably be fixed by Zynga soon so hurry. It will give you extra chicken coops. You have to place a chicken coop in the very top corner of your plot. then buy a storage shed, and expand the storage shed and publish to facebook, your neighbour have to help you expand it, then do it again. Once you have fully expanded your storage shed you need to refresh farmville, you will now get 2 extra chicken coops. I chose not to do this cheat as I thought it may get me banned.
7. Good Samaritan Ribbon cheat – This one will help you get the good samaritan ribbon faster. To get the good samaritan ribbon you have to help neighbors, but it is slow and tedious. Click on the neighbor to help them, but before the confirmation window pops up click their icon again, click them as fast as you can, and you may be able to help them up to 5 times all at once.
8. Pretty Garden Ribbon cheat – You have to get 50 flowers to get the blue pretty garden ribbon. The fastest way to do this is to purchase a garden shed for 30,000 which comes with 10 flowers, place them on the farm and then sell the shed. Repeat the process until you have 50 flowers. You will also get experience points.
9. Free Cows cheat – you need to have at least 1 cow already in your gift box. Buy a dairy farm, then place the cow from the gift box directly into the dairy farm (not anywhere else), then return to the giftbox and there will still be a cow there, rinse and repeat.
10. Probably the safest way to advance is to use a bot. I don’t think Zynga considers using a bot cheating, as it is running on your computer in place of you. There are 2 well known bot farmville automation bots which both cost under $7

Top Facebook etiquette tips
What’s okay on Facebook? On sites like MySpace, anything goes (or seems to), but the rules of etiquette on Facebook seem to be a little more refined—not a lot, mind you, but a little. Keep these tips in mind, whether you’re making your first friend or your 1000th.
Consider how many friends you really want
Some people adopt an everyone-welcome policy on Facebook and accept all friend requests; some only want real-world contacts in their friends list. In deciding on the right approach for you, bear in mind that the bigger your friend network is, the more application, event, chat session, and cause invitations you’ll receive—and that can lead to some uncomfortable moments and the occasional friend purge.
Go easy on the updates
As on Twitter, oversharing on Facebook can be a problem. Every meal eaten, every TV show experienced, and every weather condition observed need not be the subject of a status update. Ask yourself whether anyone is likely to care about your comment before you start typing.
Keep quizzes to yourself
It’s fine if you want to take a “Which serial killer are you?” quiz. When you complete all of the multiple-choice questions, however, you’ll almost certainly be asked to invite a dozen or so people to take the quiz, too; there’s no need for this unless you think they’ll really enjoy it. Look for a ‘Skip this step’ or ‘Continue to result’ button (in tiny type) somewhere on the page, click it, and you won’t have to send invitations to anyone as a precondition to getting your quiz results. Clicking the ‘Skip’ button on the following screen will prevent the quiz from showing up on your wall or being shared on your friends’ walls.
Limit Facebook chat
Just because someone has a Facebook window open doesn’t mean they’re automatically available for a chat session. Facebook Chat is like any other instant messaging platform—use it appropriately, and recognize that your friends may be too busy to respond immediately, especially during business hours.
No poking
If you are over the age of 16, don’t “poke” people—seriously.
Avoid “Group think”
One disconcerting trend among many Facebook users involves creating a Group for a business concern, and then inviting everyone under the sun to join the group. This is a misuse of the feature—and bad manners—since Groups are designed to serve as gathering places to discuss genuine leisure, cultural, social, or other common interests, not as ad hoc copy shops.
Common courtesy should impel you not to create a Group for your business—but if you insist on doing so anyway, please invite only employees to join the Group. If your business needs a Facebook presence, create an official Page for it; then, if you must, invite friends to becomes fans of that Page.
Think before posting embarrassing photos

It’s not all about the numbers of friends. Remember when you accept a friend request you provide your new friend with access to lots of information about you. This includes, posts, photographs, messages and all the background information that you write about yourself. You can delete friends at any time, so perhaps it’s time to refresh your list and think about who you really want accessing your information.
2. Check your settings
Recently, Facebook changed the default privacy setting to share information publicly. It’s worth spending some time to go through your settings and adjust where necessary; you may be sharing more than you intended. You even have the option to add ‘limited profiles’ for those people that you may not want accessing your personal information.
